The National Amateur Championship for Men and Women 2020 with the sponsorship of Diamond sponsor Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company (Vikoda) officially kicked off on July 16th<\/sup>\u00a0with the participation of many Vietnam\u2019s top young golfers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the beginning of 2020, Vikoda officially became a Diamond sponsor for 6 national amateur championship golf tournaments, and will also be the exclusive drinking water supplier during the tournaments, in which the golf tournament for the Men National Amateur Championship (VAO) and the National Women Championship golf tournament (VLAO) in 2020 simultaneously kicked off on the morning of July 16th<\/sup>\u00a0and ended with many notable highlights.<\/p>\n

\"Vikoda<\/p>\n

These are exciting rounds, intense ranking competitions, the maturity of young athletes or overcoming the challenge of veteran golfers. This year, VAO has more than 120 Athletes and VLAO has nearly 40 participating female athletes. The two tournaments welcomed the new champions in different but emotional ways are Nguyen Dang Minh at the VAO and Hanakho Kawasaki at the VLAO.<\/p>\n

After the first day of competition, two young Vietnamese golf talents both showed impressive performance when beating below the standard. Thereby, respectively, took the top spot on the day VAO and VLAO opened on Vinpearl Golf South Hoi An.<\/p>\n

After many rounds, Nguyen Dang Minh had a fierce competition with Dang Quang Anh in the VAO final round and brought the audience to great emotional levels. At the end of the round with 72 strokes, 15-year-old golfer Nguyen Dang Minh defeated Dang Quang Quanh in a duel and won the VAO 2020 championship.<\/p>\n

In addition, the tournament also witnessed the participation of football players Cong Vinh and supermodel Binh Minh with many impressive achievements. Cong Vinh has been playing golf for 3 years and also owns a handicap level of 5.8. The first time attending VAO, Cong Vinh only set a target to pass the cut. Supermodel Binh Minh has been in the golf world for more than two years, has a handicap of 8.5, regularly competes in movement tournaments and regard VAO as an opportunity to try and gain experience.<\/p>\n

In the VLAO tournament, Hanakho Kawasaki \u2013 a golfer born in 1999 with two Vietnamese-Japanese bloodlines, competed overwhelmingly in all 3 rounds and won the championship. With this victory, Hanako took a new step in the world amateur ranking at 686 on the WAGR chart.<\/p>\n
