Divided into 1 or 2 doses for 5-10 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Children 6 months to 12 years<\/strong>:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Acute otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia, chronic bronchitis<\/strong>: 14 mg\/kg of body weight daily, up to a maximum of 600 mg\/day, for 5-10 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections<\/strong>: 7 mg\/kg of body weight daily for 10 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Children under 6 months<\/strong>: Not recommended.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Renal impairment<\/strong>:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Adults with creatinine clearance &lt;30 ml\/min<\/strong>: Use a dose of 300 mg once daily.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Children with creatinine clearance &lt;30 ml\/min\/1.73 m\u00b2<\/strong>: The cefdinir dose should be 7 mg\/kg (up to 300 mg) once daily.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Hemodialysis patients<\/strong>: Initial dose is 300 mg or 7 mg\/kg daily, taken at the end of each hemodialysis session.
