The dose can be increased up to 4g\/day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Children<\/strong>: The usual dose is 25-60 mg\/kg of body weight per 24 hours, divided into 2-3 doses.<\/li>\n<li>In cases of severe infection, the maximum dose is 100 mg\/kg of body weight per 24 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contraindications<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Cephalexin should not be used in patients with a history of allergy to the cephalosporin group of antibiotics.<\/li>\n<li>Cephalosporins should not be used in patients with a history of anaphylactic shock from penicillin or other serious IgE-mediated reactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Storage &amp; Quality<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Storage<\/strong>: Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 30\u00b0C, away from light.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shelf Life<\/strong>: 36 months from the manufacturing date.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quality Standard<\/strong>: Manufacturer&#8217;s Standard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Used to treat infections related to the respiratory tract, ears, nose, and throat.
