    • Dosage:
      • The interval between doses should be 4 to 6 hours. For patients with renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 10ml/min), the minimum interval is 8 hours.
      • Adults: Take 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours. The duration of pain relief treatment should be limited to less than 3 days, and if adequate pain relief is not achieved, the patient/caregiver should consult a doctor for advice.
      • Note: The maximum daily dose of Codein for pain relief is no more than 240mg/day. (Do not exceed 6 tablets of Panalgan® Codein in 24 hours).
      • Children 12-18 years: The dose for pain relief is 1-2 tablets every 6 hours. If necessary, it can be increased up to a maximum of 240mg/day (8 tablets/day). The dose depends on body weight (0.5-1mg/kg).
      • Children under 12 years: Panalgan® Codein is not recommended for pain relief due to the risk of opioid toxicity from unpredictable changes in the metabolism of Codein to morphine.
