- Dosage & Administration:
- Adults: Dose is 7.5 mg once daily; if necessary, it can be increased to a maximum dose of 15 mg/day.
- Mild to moderate renal impairment: No dose adjustment is needed.
- Severe renal impairment: Contraindicated.
- Hemodialysis: Dose should not exceed 7.5 mg/day.
- Patients with high risk of adverse reactions: Initial treatment with a dose of 7.5 mg/day.
- Elderly: The recommended dose is 7.5 mg once daily.
- Children: Not recommended for use with this formulation.
- Administration: Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest treatment duration consistent with the patient’s treatment goal. To avoid gastrointestinal side effects, take with food or with an antacid.
- Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication; previous skin reactions (regardless of severity) when using Meloxicam, other NSAIDs, and other medications.
- Patients with a history of severe allergies; specific skin reactions such as generalized erythema, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis.
- History of hypersensitivity (bronchospasm, asthma, nasal polyps and Quincke’s edema or urticaria) to aspirin or another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
- Active peptic ulcer disease.
- Treatment of pain after coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
- Severe hepatic impairment. Severe renal impairment.
- Obvious gastrointestinal bleeding, recent cerebral hemorrhage, or other established systemic bleeding disorders.
- Uncontrolled severe heart failure.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
- Storage & Quality:
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 30°C, away from light.
- Shelf Life: 36 months from the manufacturing date.
