- Dosage & Administration:
- Administration: Oral or sublingual use.
- Dosage:
- Oral: Take 2 tablets (equivalent to 42 microkatals of chymotrypsin) 3-4 times daily.
- Sublingual: 4-6 tablets daily, divided evenly throughout the day, allowing the tablet to dissolve slowly under the tongue.
- Contraindications:
- Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to chymotrypsin or any component of the medication.
- Do not use chymotrypsin in patients with reduced alpha-1 antitrypsin.
- Note: Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), especially emphysema, and nephrotic syndrome are at risk for reduced alpha-1 antitrypsin.
- Storage & Quality:
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 30°C, away from light.
- Shelf Life: 36 months from the manufacturing date.
