Dosage & Administration
Dosage: The usual dose is 30-160 mg/kg body weight/day, divided into 3-4 doses.
- Cognitive and vertigo disorders in the elderly: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times daily. A high dose can be up to 6 tablets daily.
- Alcoholism: 5 tablets per dose, 3 times daily during initial withdrawal. Maintenance dose: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times daily.
- Cognitive impairment after brain trauma: Initial dose: 4-5 tablets per dose, 3 times daily. Maintenance dose: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times daily, for at least 3 weeks.
- Dyslexia in children: 50 mg/kg body weight/day, divided into 3 doses.
- Sickle cell anemia: 160 mg/kg body weight/day, divided into 4 equal doses.
- Myoclonus: 3 tablets per dose, 3 times daily. Depending on the response, increase by 6 tablets daily every 3-4 days up to a maximum dose of 25 tablets daily. Once the optimal piracetam dose is reached, try to reduce the dose of concomitant medications.

Contraindications
- Patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 20 ml/minute).
- Patients with Huntington’s disease.
- Patients with hepatic impairment.

- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 30°C, away from light.
- Shelf Life: 36 months from the manufacturing date.
