Being a part of sharing the difficulties with people suffering from the recent floods in Ha Tinh province, in two days of November 3rd – 4th/2020, FIT Group visited, presented gifts as well as inspirit the locals of Cam Due, Cam My, Cam Quan communes, Cam Xuyen district.
Previously, the Group launched the program “F.I.T Group towards the Central” calling on employees of the whole group to join forces to support people in flood areas. After 1 week of launching, the Group has raised over 400 million VND. Using this money, F.I.T Group has planned to give 850 gifts to people in Central Vietnam.
F.I.T Group’s relief caravan
F.I.T Group’s first destination is Cam Due, Cam My, Cam Quan communes of Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province. According to the preliminary report of the People’s Committee of Cam Xuyen district, the recent flood and the overflow of Ke Go lake caused about 150 villages in 19 communes to be flooded. In which, Cam Due, Cam My, and Cam Quan communes are located in the center of the floodplain. Although local authorities have mobilized and relocated people in remote and isolated areas to safe places, people still suffer heavy loss of property.
During the two days of November 3rd and 4th, despite going through a tight schedule, F.I.T Group’s volunteer group completed a meaningful relief trip. The delegation collaborated with the local government to make a list of households severely affected by the floods and gave more than 400 gifts to the people, including drinking water, cakes, instant sausages, soup flour as also some cash to help people live beyond their means.
Yet it rains, people are still waiting for their turn to receive gifts from F.I.T Group
In addition, the delegation also visited and presented thousands of notebooks and 150 gifts including dry hand sanitizer gel, mosquito spray and laundry detergent to the pupils of Cam My primary school, My Due secondary school. For households with extremely difficult circumstances, the delegation came to visit, give gifts and encourage them to quickly overcome the effects of floods.

F.I.T staff members’ hearts and devotion during the trip have received respect and appreciation from the people in Cam Xuyen district. The timely support of F.I.T although not great, but really meaningful and showed the spirit of mutual love, mutual love, “good leaves protect torn leaves” to help people initially overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
The program “F.I.T Group towards the Central” still be on the process. In the coming time, F.I.T Group plans to stay on organizing relief groups heading to central provinces which got damaged by floods.

In the days ahead, F.I.T Group will organize the second group to deliver 300 gifts to people affected by rain in Thua Thien Hue province.
